Overland tours are usually participation tours and every one gets involved in the day to day running of the trip, pitching in to cook, clean and set up camp. The more you put in to a tour, the more you’ll get out of it and the smoother the trip will run. Overland tours take place onboard of so-called overland trucks. Onboard you’ll find mostly forward facing seats, a coolbox, stereo, safe for valuables and even a small library. There is ample storage space and all of the camping/cooking equipment is carried on board. Some tours listed below are not overland tours, but more comfortable and hence more pricey.
