Sossusvlei Flight & Excursion

Duration: 7hrs
Location: Namibia
Start: Swakopmund
End: Swakopmund
Visits: Sossusvlei

This is a popular day-trip starting from Swakopmund. Participants will visit the colourful dunes at Sossuvlei, or have an opportunity to see the spectacular coast, the Cape Fur Seal colony and shipwrecks, wetlands with bright pink flamingoes and Walvis Bay.

4 day Elephant & Rhino Tracking

Duration: 4 day(s)
Departure time: This can be arranged when booking the tour.
Pickup info: Pick-up is from your accommodation establishment in Swakopmund at a time that suits you.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about a really remote part of Namibia and the flora and fauna that live in this harsh environment, experiencing it in a way that most tour companies rarely offer. As well as having an experienced guide, you will also meet up with expert trackers from Save The Rhino Trust who are dedicated to protecting the delicate ecosystem of this region.
This is a private tour that doesn't have specific departure dates; please enquire about availability. There is a maximum of four people (unless by special arrangement) and every trip is tailor-made to suit specific interests and fitness. Comfortable camping equipment, reliable vehicles, excellent meals, and above all, a first class guide are provided.

4 day Munduela Hiking Trail

Duration: 4 day(s)
Departure time: As this is a private tour, there is no specified time but generally your guide meets you at the Mundulea main farm house after lunch and then you are transferred to the camp where you'll be accommodated for the next 3 nights.
Pickup info: Although transfers can be arranged from Swakopmund or Windhoek, most guests book this as part of a self-drive trip and so drive directly to Mundulea.

Kate & Bruno Nebe established Mundulea Nature Reserve in 2001 after purchasing 12000 hectares of farmland in the Otavi Mountains. After dismantling the existing boundaries and erecting secure game fencing around the perimeter, they began to add to the existing wildlife numbers with a carefully chosen variety of indigenous species. The aim has been to establish a reserve rich in Namibia's native flora and fauna, a place as close to its natural heritage as possible, where visitors can experience a true step back into the lush wilderness of this region.
The base camp consists of 4 permanently errected tents set amongst mature trees and a central boma area. From here you set out on foot to explore this rich and unique biosphere. The walking and hiking trails are carefully chosen to suit to the interests and abilities of the guests. Trails range from gentle ambles through sloping savannah, to rocky mountain climbs and descents into canyons and gorges.
There are many antelope species already flourishing but giraffe and springbok - once plentiful in this area - are having to be gradually reintroduced. The reserve's most recent arrivals were the endangered black faced impala and a small group of tsessebe. Often-seen predators include leopard, cheetah, hyena, honey badgers, jackal, serval and lynx. Aardvark, aardwolf, bat-eared foxes, meerkats and pangolin are also sometimes spotted.

7 Day Southern Swing

Duration: 7 Days
Location: Namibia
Start: Windhoek
End: Windhoek
Southern Namibia has some of the most stark yet awe-inspiring desert scenery you'll ever see, varying from the deep ravines of the Fish River, to the lunar landscape of Luderitz, to the richly-coloured dunes of Sossusvlei. You can also see the quiver tree 'forest' near Kolmanskop, jackass penguins off the Luderitz coast or the desert horses around Aus, Namibia's only feral horses.
This is a comfortable camping safari that involves minimal participation. Camping equipment is provided but you'll need to bring your own sleeping bag or rent it from the safari company.
