2.5 hrs Double Decker City Tour (Windhoek)

This is a 2 and a half hour tour around the main sights of Windhoek conducted in a double-decker bus. The tour starts from the parking area below the Supreme Court, initially showing the main landmark's in the city centre and then continuing on to the main open market in Katutura where people can disembark and get a feel for township life. The tour finishes in the city centre, back at the street craft area where the tour began.

Ballooning (Sesriem, Sossusvlei)

Half an hour before sunrise, you are collected from one of the five collection points and taken to the launch site. The flight is roughly an hour in length and the course it takes is very much dictated by the wind direction. After landing, you are greeted by a lavish champagne breakfast and have the added bonus of a scenic drive whilst being transferred back to your original location.
Generally, it is worth staying 3 nights in the area around Sesriem if you want to include a ballooning trip - 1 morning to visit the dunes at Sossusvlei and another morning to take the balloon ride. Due to only arriving back at your accommodation around midday after this activity, it is better to remain another night or stay somewhere only a few hour drive away.

3 day Sossusvlei Express

For those with limited time and a preference for a little more comfort than basic camping, this offers the perfect option. The accommodation is close to Sesriem in permanent tents that have en-suite bathroom facilities.
Day 1: Windhoek - Sesriem
You will be collected from your accommodation in Windhoek shortly before 12h00 noon (a little later in Summer). Driving via Rehoboth and Naukluft we arrive at our camp mid afternoon and have a chance to relax and enjoy the views before taking a short walk to the nearby kopjie (hill) for sunset looking over the Naukluft mountain range. Overnight in twin share permanent style tents with en suite facilities and private deck. The camp also has a swimming pool and bar to relax around.
Meals: Dinner
Accommodation: Desert Camp
Day 2: Sossusvlei
Dawn departure from camp to arrive at the park gate at Sesriem for sunrise, this is only about 3kms away. We drive down an ancient river bed surrounded by towering dunes to the 2x4 parking (around 55kms) and take a 4x4 shuttle into the Sossusvlei area to appreciate the beauty of this place in early morning light and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the region. We explore this unique area on foot before heading into Dead Vlei with its large expanse of bleached cracked clay and skeletal camel thorn trees, contrasting with a backdrop of huge dunes with their ever-changing colours. We can either walk or take the 4x4 shuttle back to our vehicle. As we drive back to our accommodation we will stop at the famous Dune 45 and climb this dune if we wish or just wander around the base. We return to Sesriem and visit the nearby Sesriem Canyon, one of the few permanent water sources before arriving back at our tented camp late afternoon to watch the sunset over this spectacular desert.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Accommodation: Desert Camp
Day 3: Windhoek
After a leisurely breakfast we return to Windhoek via Bullsport and Rehoboth. We arrive prior in the early afternoon and you will be dropped off at your accommodation.
Meals: Breakfast

The above itinerary is only a guideline. Whilst the safari company tries to adhere to it there may be circumstances that make a change necessary (ie weather and/or road conditions, seasonal daylight hours etc.).

3 day Sossusvlei Camping Tour

This is a comfortable camping trip that involves minimal participation from clients other than helping with your tent. There is both a camp assistant and guide who look after meals. Transport is in either a minibus or a specially converted safari truck with a maximum of 14 travelers.
Day 1: Windhoek - Sossusvlei
You will be collected from you accommodation in Windhoek at around 8.15am. We travel out over the Eros Mountains and along scenic roads, on our way south-west to the desert. We also pass over part of the Naukluft Mountains the Khomas Hochland range on our journey today and head down from Namibia's central plateau by way of the beautiful Remhoogte Pass.
Coming out of the mountains we reach open plains and from here it is only a short distance to our next stop, the tiny town of Solitaire. We will stop here for some refreshments before continuing on through desert scenery. We cross some open grass savannah and farmlands before the terrain begins to give way to the immense red sand dune desert of the Namib.
We aim to arrive at our camp during the late afternoon and watch the colours glow and change on distant mountains to the east.
Meals: Lunch & Dinner
Camping: Agama Camp
Day 2: Sossusvlei
A pre-dawn start is essential this morning as we want to catch the soft light of the sunrise on the desert. After passing through Sesriem, the gateway to the dunes and driving into the heart of the dune field, we reach Sossusvlei itself by walking the last 5 km through the dunes.
The walk is like nothing else, in the cool of the morning, with soft sunlight just beginning to play over the dunes creating a sharp light and shadow contrast across the whole desert. Ancient mineral pans, stunted camel thorn trees and the chance of seeing a gemsbok or maybe an ostrich make the photo opportunities perfect.
We spend the morning in and around Sossusvlei, also visiting dune 45, and as the day wears on we return to Sesriem for lunch to escape the heat of the afternoon. As the day cools off in the late afternoon we will take a short excursion to the Sesriem Canyon.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Camping: Agama Camp
Day 3: Windhoek
We enjoy a more leisurely start today, although you may like to take a pleasure flight over the dunes, which your guide can help organise. After breakfast we leave Sesriem and make our way back north, once again through the Highlands. Our route is not the same as the journey down, but the scenery is equally spectacular. After stopping for lunch on the way, we arrive in Windhoek at approximately 16h00. Driving time approx. 5hrs (350kms)
Meals: Breakfast & Lunch

4 day Munduela Hiking Trail

Duration: 4 day(s)
Departure time: As this is a private tour, there is no specified time but generally your guide meets you at the Mundulea main farm house after lunch and then you are transferred to the camp where you'll be accommodated for the next 3 nights.
Pickup info: Although transfers can be arranged from Swakopmund or Windhoek, most guests book this as part of a self-drive trip and so drive directly to Mundulea.

Kate & Bruno Nebe established Mundulea Nature Reserve in 2001 after purchasing 12000 hectares of farmland in the Otavi Mountains. After dismantling the existing boundaries and erecting secure game fencing around the perimeter, they began to add to the existing wildlife numbers with a carefully chosen variety of indigenous species. The aim has been to establish a reserve rich in Namibia's native flora and fauna, a place as close to its natural heritage as possible, where visitors can experience a true step back into the lush wilderness of this region.
The base camp consists of 4 permanently errected tents set amongst mature trees and a central boma area. From here you set out on foot to explore this rich and unique biosphere. The walking and hiking trails are carefully chosen to suit to the interests and abilities of the guests. Trails range from gentle ambles through sloping savannah, to rocky mountain climbs and descents into canyons and gorges.
There are many antelope species already flourishing but giraffe and springbok - once plentiful in this area - are having to be gradually reintroduced. The reserve's most recent arrivals were the endangered black faced impala and a small group of tsessebe. Often-seen predators include leopard, cheetah, hyena, honey badgers, jackal, serval and lynx. Aardvark, aardwolf, bat-eared foxes, meerkats and pangolin are also sometimes spotted.
