Bloemfontein is a University town and has quite a range of pubs and bars, it is the judical capital of South Africa... and some World Cup matches are going to be played 2010 in Bloemfontein. It is the provincial capital of the Freestate, more Afrikaans than Englisch - it's actually quite nice for a couple of days.
