TravelComments.com country guide Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe used to have the best infrastructure of the African continent outside neighbouring South Africa and used to be the preferred African tourist destination for many travellers. The political and economic turmoil that was struggeling the country since ca. 1999 changed the country and only a few travellers made their way to Harare, Bulawayo or the mighty Victoria Falls. The year 2009 led to a reduction in the level of political violence and human rights abuses and since that time Zimbabwe has generally experienced a relatively stable period with reasonable economic growth. The travellers, as well as some international airlines, didn't forget about Zimbabwe, recognised that the country is on its way of recovery and are now coming back to this beautiful country in Southern Africa.
